This IS library shelving. Cantilever is built around a welded steel center frame, which acts like a spine to support shelves on either side of the frame. This way shelves can be independently adjusted to allow for varying sizes and shapes of books. Cantilever shelving is usually found in 36" wide sections with various shelving depths, depending on specific media size. Heights can vary also. Special reinforcing bars can be added for seismic strength. Special sizes are also available.
