Most commonly used as Library Shelving, which is it’s primary use. However, some shelving manufacturers promote cantilever shelving for file storage due to the extra one inch of capacity on each shelf. This represents about 3% added capacity for a double sided section. Cost for cantilever sometimes runs 30% or more than Case Style.
